Sweet Sixteen

"It will be a unique ceremony, with a format meant to reflect the deeper bonds that go into being back-to-back NBA champions. After Lakers coach Phil Jackson receives his championship ring, he will take the Staples Center public-address microphone and do a brief, self-scripted introduction of the first Lakers player. Each player will come forward to receive his ring - and then perform his own individual introduction for the next player."

I normally get nervous when I have to talk in front of people, but tonight I feel like I’m at home.
— Lamar Odom

Getting those rings, you’re definitely on a high. You have to come back down, because that’s history. That’s something nobody can take away from you ever, but it doesn’t help us in the next game.
— Shannon Brown

“Tonight it was a little more special because we all introduced each other. It’s special. We know the bond that we share, and for (Fisher) to bring me out there, that was great.”
— Kobe Bryant

And so it goes..

I love this ceremony. I don't know why I get so emotional watching this but hell yeah, gotta love this feeling! I will always remember Game 7 ~ maybe one of the best games ever in NBA history.

It's my favorite time of the year, the start of NBA season. It's maybe the most exciting season ever! As long as this one ends just like the past one, I'll have no reason to throw anything at the television.. It's gonna be a brutal but fun season! Get that #6 Kobe! =)
