Bowling Night: CCO Team Building

I was assigned to write an article about the Teambuilding we had last Oct 1. So here it is:

One of the easiest sports to love and learn, Bowling can be a lifelong interest. It also works for a team building exercise which provides positive reinforcement of teamwork and builds relationships that can help on the job.

Last October 1, the CCO Cards team held their team building at Paeng’s Bowling Center in Eastwood City. They split into three teams: Team Imortal, Team Chiu, and Team Orange Chicken. All were really excited to be doing something new for the first time this year. A healthy competition among colleagues is always amusing. All of the team members are competitive but it was all for fun and fun they had. Most of them have done this sport before for leisure but for some, it was their first time to hold a ten-pin ball. Unfortunately, beginner's luck was not on their side so no lucky strikes for them but they were able to hit a lot of pins at a time so it's a pretty good shot for a newbie.

Main rule is that the two teams who had the most points at the end of one game will battle in the finals. Team Chiu and Team Imortal advanced to the finals and it had been a neck to neck battle. Strike after strike. Spare after spare. It all went down to the wire and amid all the celebratory high-fiving, Team Imortal emerged as the Bowling Champions sparked by their team captain Nilo Casocot and winner of “Striker of the Year” award, Albert Cea.

By the end of the day, all team members had a great time. Bowling has always been a subtle form of team building. The elements of team building - communication, trust, cooperation and fun have always been there. There’s nothing like that high five from the team when a great shot is made. That experienced camaraderie has no age limit.
