I Just Fell In Love Again - Angeline Quinto

This is the theme song of the movie 'Born to Love You'. I love the film, loved the soundtrack. Not a typical ending for a Filipino movie.

Underworld: Awakening

I swear.. this is the best in the series so far! Must-watch movie! Glad to have watched it in cinema because it was so worth it! The plot and action scenes were great! Actually, if you haven't seen the 3 movie parts before this, you can still understand and enjoy the movie. Selene (Kate Beckinsale) was of course so gorgeous here. The movie was just 1 and a half hour but it is action packed you will really get hooked to it. I'm sure there will be Part 5 because it's pretty obvious how the film ended. There are so many things unanswered about Michael and their daughter (I didn't get her name). Anyway, for the fans of the Underworld franchise like me who’ve watched the first three movies, don't fail to watch this one - It would leave you craving for more.

In the Name of Love

Surprise Surprise! In fairness "In the Name of Love" is worth-seeing and I won't share that much about the movie because it might spoil your experience. Well, it is a 2-hour movie so if you feel you will get bored, then don't watch it or you'll get lost. Try to watch it when you're in the mood (to cry? Haha.) I heard it took a year to make this movie and I wish all Filipino movie makers would take as much care in making films so the viewing public can enjoy great stories like this. I am actually not expecting anything from this movie. Well actually I'm expecting many Aga-Angel love scenes but no.. it's more of a drama/romance/suspense thing. I love how Angel and Aga played their role but I must admit, they don't have chemistry. Aga looks too old for Angel here. Still, the movie is a must see for me for a different touch. It's all about love - true and unconditional love. How much will you give to the one your love? The story is really heart breaking. This movie shows the variation of sacrifices that people make for the ones they love. You'll hate the fact that love  seriously makes us do crazy things. It even makes us forget about ourselves. Really. It also touched my heart that many times, I found myself crying. The movie was almost perfect except for the botched ending.

Clap Clap to to this movie! Let’s have more of these kind of movies please.

Serendipity

During this time of the year, it's so good to watch a movie that will make you believe in destiny and make you feel so in love (even you are not). Yes, destiny - even though I am not a huge fan of it, I still believe that there is someone out there that is meant for you. Serendipity is a feel-good movie with a beautiful soundtrack just in time for Christmas. I love this movie - it will make you laugh, cry, dream, and believe. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale are perfect together. This movie goes out to all the hopeless romantics. Because of this movie, I fell in love with New York, especially Serendipity 3 which is in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, just across the way from Bloomingdale’s.

Wish I could also dine-in here someday..

Have you had any serendipitous moments lately?

A Very "Bad Teacher"

Why did Cameron accepted this role? This is supposed to be a parody of a late 90's hit "Dangerous Minds" but it's not really funny.. I don't even know how Cameron ended with Jason Segel. Oh cmon. It's hard to say whether it was the writing that steered this movie wrong, but whatever it was - something didn't turn out right. It left me strangely disappointed because I knew it could have been a lot better. I do not recommend this film unless you want to see how Justin and Cameron do their own 'doggie style'..

I can't believe Aamir Hussain Khan is already 46 years old! I learned it after watching the making of 3 idiots movie that he was actually styled to look like a 20-year old college student.

You can watch it here

I am really amazed with his acting. He cries so well. Ultimately, he is one of the best actors I've seen. I took snapshots of some scenes in the 3 idiots movie which I consider to be the most beautiful touching scenes in the movie for me. Great great acting Rancho!

Promise, you will like it! You'll love Aamir too!

"All izz well" with 3 Idiots

I still have the hang over.

Yeah, this is by far, one of the best inspirational films ever made.

I think I have spent the best 2 hours and 44 minutes of my life watching this film. Honestly, I have never expected this to be this beautiful. This is actually a 2009 movie but I never had the chance to watch this. Until I downloaded it for 3 hours and watched it. No regrets.

Comedy + Romance + Drama + Musical + Lessons in life, all in one movie. I am so impressed, hooked, and mesmerized. It brought me back to my senses. I can’t actually put everything in here but I'm gonna try to give just a short expression of how I really love the movie. It is an eye-opener. I was moved by a lot of scenes and lessons from the movie.

This is a Hindi film starring Aahmir Khan (as Rancho), Kareena Kapoor (as Pia), Sharman Joshi (as Raju), R Madhavan (as Farhan). The story revolves around 3 friends who are taking up Mechanical Engineering in Imperial College of Engineering (ICE). With all the pressures of college, family, and their terror prof "Virus", they experienced how to deal and overcome all of these and understand the true meaning of education and find SUCCESS.

This movie was really good. It was funny but it made me cry so many times. One of the best scenes is when Rancho brought Raju's father in the hospital - very touching. Truly is witty, refreshing, poignant, and just an E.P.I.C movie it is. No wonder it’s the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. The cast was perfect and there is no boring moment at all. It teaches us a lot of good principles about life itself. It’s really that kind of movie which lifts you up. It is inspirational in an enjoyable ride. And I love those friendship chemistry between the ‘3 idiots’ is very compelling without overdoing it. The friendship between them is the bestest. It’s just plain awesome.

Aamir Khan looks like Tobey McGuire + Mr. Bean + Eminem Haha.

Seriously, watch this movie.

3 IDIOTS belongs to everyone. It's a story of friendship, hope, aspirations and most importantly the goodness of life. Everyone can relate the character’s situation in many ways.

You’ll find yourself in awe after watching the film. No exaggeration! 5/5 Golden Stars!!!

Here are some of the many quotable quotes from the movie:

“Everytime you feel the fear, just put your hand in your heart and say, “Aal izz well”. It doesn’t remove your fear but it lessens.” - Rancho

"Pursue excellence, and success will follow, pants down." - Rancho

“Today my respect for that idiot shot up. Most of us went to college just for a degree. No degree meant no plum job, no pretty wife, no credit card, no social status. But none of this mattered to him, he was in college for the joy of learning, he never cared if he was first or last.” - Farhan

Friends with Benefits

So far, this is one of the best chick flick movies of 2011, aside from No Strings attached and Something Borrowed. This movie made me like the song "Closing Time" from Semisonic, not Third Eye Blind. Justin Bieber sure is a hottie here. Mila Kunis of course is very natural at this role after doing "Black Swan." She’s so pretty and I love her eyes. This movie is a typical romcom with encouraging happy ending.

I loved how the story grow. Dyan and Jaimee are different people from different broken relationships when they became friends - more than friends - almost lovers - back being to strangers and finally found out that they were meant for each other. Most are sensitive scenes but not abusive.

The soundtrack? Besides, Closing Time, well, I loved the Boys don't cry version by Gant Lee Philips and Take a Bow from my personal favorite, Greg Laswell. Nice.

If you want to lose weight, stop eating, fatty. If you want to be rich, work hard, lazy. If you want to be happy, find someone you like and never let them go.

Wimpy Kid

I just finished watching the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Rodrick Rules)" and I could say that I liked it. Though it was like watching Disney Channel, I am kinda impressed with the movie. The main star, Zachary Gordon reminded me of Paul Rudd. Can't wait for the third part of this movie - "Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Dog Day)"..

Twenty Years, Two People.. One day

SPOILER ALERT!

One Day!!!

Based on the novel by David Nicholls, it is a love story surrounding two friends named Dexter and Emma. They would only meet on July 15th every year for the next 20 years. While trying to hold onto their friendship, they each go through their individual trials revolving around their families and personal lives. It becomes a hard thing for them to handle, but they try to make it work in the end.

Depressing is the one word I can describe this movie. But, nonetheless very realistic and I enjoyed it for the most part. It was literally the most emotionally draining movie I have ever seen and I was really shaken up after it. It was actually my first time to cry, chill, and feel very scared (like screaming) after watching a "chick flick" movie. I didn't read the book so I didn't expect anything. I just know that it is a love story. Oh well.

One day turns out to be a heart-wrenching (10x), beautiful, and a lovely movie. The ending.. it made me feel sad and depressed. It was a tragic and awful death scene of Emma. She gets hit by a truck and dies. I just couldn’t bear the sight of it. She flings from point A to B! With her lower leg left twisted sideways and her blood splattered all over - then it focus on Anne's face. I can imagine her thinking all the memories while her eye opened lying there. Just a shattering scene. I think I got traumatized.

Nothing will ever compare that from the previous death scenes I have seen like those of Meg Ryan in 'City of Angels' and Paul Nicholls in 'If Only'. I actually thought this movie is a typical Hollywood chick flick with a happy ending - absolutely not. I'm not prepared to feel heart broken by this film. I actually hate how it ended. However, the end gets better and leave you on a good note - to never waste a day when it comes to following your heart when it comes to love.

I love the characters - I don't care if people told me of Anne Hathaway’s terrible attempt of a British accent, but I find that she’s so lovable and likeable in this movie. She did a good job. She's also very beautiful here. Jim Sturgess is hot haha. I believed their chemistry from start to finish.

The cinematography was awesome. The production, hair and make-up, and costume design mostly do a fine job of shifting along the decades without becoming cartoonish.

There are far more reasons to see One Day, such as to revisit the emotional time period that exists for all of us, when we think we're all grown up only to realize that we are stuck in it - no longer able to do what we really, really wanted to do in life.

The story is so beautiful, timeless and tragic. It really has made me think. The movie touched upon one of my biggest fears. Which is losing someone you love. That part killed me. Also, it had the ability to make you think about where you are in life. It’s one of the only films that has made me think ‘I’m only 26!’ instead of ‘oh no I’m 26!'. It also has highlighted the importance of not wasting time. I said that it was so tragic but it wasn’t because she died, it was that she died only being with the love of her life for a couple of years instead of a lifetime. They wasted their whole life holding back their true feelings, feeling that they had all along (this fact stinks!)

What I liked about One Day was that it was a depressing movie, but you see the characters grow from it. Love is not lost. It remains forever. I think it is a story that we can all relate to in some way. Whether you relate more to Emma or Dex. Their story is so real and believable, that’s maybe why the book has been so successful because it relates to so many people in so many ways. This movie gives you hope for any relationship (damn!) haha. However, I won't watch this again - too much pain to bear.

The soundtrack was great!!! One day by Rachel Portman and Sparkling day by Elvis Costello. Just perfect.

Overall, expect a love story that you may certainly connect with, for it may show you lessons about love, and just how it works in another way. Be prepared for a story that will move your hearts. If you really miss the feeling of falling again and again, then go and watch One Day - expect a bittersweet ending, it will make you hope you have "the one" beside you to cry on haha.

One of my favorite scenes:

Here are the memorable quotes from One Day:

“Live each day as if it’s your last’, that was the conventional advice, but really, who had the energy for that? What if it rained or you simply felt a bit glandy? It just wasn’t practical. Better by far to simply try and be good and courageous and bold and to make a difference. Not change the world exactly, but the bit around you. Go out there with your passion and your electric typewriter and work hard at…something. Change lives through art maybe. Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately and fully and well. Experience new things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance.”
— David Nicholls

“Of course there’s still no boyfriend, but she doesn’t mind. Occasionally, very occasionally, say at four o’clock in the afternoon on a wet Sunday, she feels panic-stricken and almost breathless with loneliness. Once or twice she has been known to pick up the phone to check that it isn’t broken. Sometimes she thinks how nice it would be to be woken by a call in the night: ‘get in a taxi now’ or ‘I need to see you, we need to talk’. But at the best of times she feels like a character in a Muriel Spark novel- independent, bookish, sharp-minded, secretly romantic.”
— Emma Morley

“I love you so much. So, so much, and I probably always will. I just don’t like you anymore. I’m sorry.”
— Emma Morley

“Just kidding’ was exactly what people wrote when they meant every word.”
— David Nicholls

“I’m not lonely. I’m alone.”
— Emma Morley

“If you’re my friend I should be able to talk to you but I can’t, and if I can’t talk to you, well, what is the point of you? Of us?… People change, no use getting sentimental about it. Move on, find someone else.”
— Emma Morley

10 Reasons Kung Ba’t Idol Ng Mga Lalake si Popoy (from “One More Chance”)

Check it out here:

Bridesmaids

I don't even know Kristen Wiig.

But now, I think that she is a genius. Her role in this movie was awesome.

Actually this movie is hilarious without even trying to do so.

I can't even say what genre is this. It's not rom-com, not the typical chick flick..

Can this be a documentary?

It's like a true story.

But the storyline is simple - it is about friendship and finding love. But what’s good in a movie is that it shows some points of what really happen in most of weddings that sometimes breaks and makes relationship among best friends who wanted to outshine each other but in the end realization follows.

The humor and the dramatic plot merged instantly.. and the inane humor always has a dramatic note to it.

This movie will makes you wonder if you have hit a bottom so low that you couldn't even think of anything, or when you experience disappointment and frustration to yourself that you wouldn't feel like living anymore. Oh cmon. This is reality.

Anyway, watch this. It also reaches into every persons heart who have experience failure before so at some point, you will be touched.

“For the record, Annie, you flirted with me. You made me feel like you really like me…which was really unfair! And then you came home with me and we did stuff- fun stuff. And then you just left, just like it was nothing.” - Chris O’Dowd

One day

This is one of the best movie trailers I ever watched..

I hope the movie is as good as it is. Can't wait..

No Strings Attached - Fave Scene

"No Strings Attached" is my favorite chick flick movie of 2011 so far.

I just want to share my favorite scene in the movie:

Also, here's another video edited by Natysik1204 which is very nice.

If you haven't watched the movie yet, I recommend you to go download it now! =)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Oh my gosh.

Wow.

How do I start?

Suffering from a terrible title and a worse tagline, this movie didn’t even get a nice trailer which may explain all the confusion.

But let me tell you as clearly as I can:

This movie is sincerely great. Hell yeah. Not just great for an action movie. Not just great for a prequel. Honest to God, great awesome!

Andy Serkins is an incredible actor as he forces you to become emotionally invested in Caesar, and definitely deserves an award. The CGI was outstanding, flawless in my opinion.

James Franco and Frieda Pinto provided good performances.. plus they are both gorgeous.

Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy made me hate his character (as usual?).. he really portrays bad roles effectively!

See this film. It’s touching, action packed and well developed. It was excellent. Really glad they pulled it off. They were even able to connect it well with the older movies.

There’s an undercurrent of animal rights to it, and by the end you’ll be rooting for the apes.

I can say this movie is epic. It took me by surprise.. Not for the kids though. It’s legit scary. Haha.

Best touching and remarkable scene in the movie:

"Caesar is home."
