X-Factor USA 2012 - Season 2

Super Late Post!

I've been following the show since the start and this year, I admit I didn't like the winner, Tate Stevens. Not really a fan of country music but he looks nice and so America loved him. For me, Fifth Harmony or Carly Rose should have won. Overall, it was a good season. I love Britney and I had a crush on Demi haha. I heard LA Reid will leave the show next season. That's sad. Anyway here are my favorite performances of the season.

and of course, I don't know what Britney did to her during live performances but she is just not the real Beatrice. This is the kind of song she should have sung in the live shows. Oh well. I'm a fan of Beatrice since this performance. The voice - my God! So beautiful.

Daniel Padilla

Daniel Padilla is so cute and handsome. Period. Haha.

I can't believe he is the son of Rommel Padilla and Karla Estrada. Oh how years go by?

I think he is a promising actor and would become bankable actor in the near future.

Good luck then!

American Idol Season 13 - Top 13

Not so many promising season for this year but I can name Colton & Heejun as my favorites so far. Yes, the Filipina Jessica is good but she lacks charm for me. I do hope Americans will vote for her voice talent.

Here are this year's American Idol Top 13 finalists:

1. DeAndre Brackensick, 17, is from San Jose, California. He originally auditioned for "American Idol" season 10, but he was cut in the "Sing for Your Life round.

2. Hollie Cavanagh, 18, is a native of McKinney, Texas. She originally auditioned for season 10, but she was eliminated in the "Sing for Your Life" round.

3. Colton Dixon, 20, hails from from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He originally auditioned for season 10, but he was also cut in the "Sing for Your Life" round.

4. Heejun Han, 22, is Flushing, New York native. He auditioned in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

5. Jermaine Jones, 25, is from Pine Hill, New Jersey. He was called back after the top 24 selection filming, making him the 25th semi-finalist and thirteenth male semi-finalist.

6. Skylar Laine, 18, resides in Brandon, Mississippi. She auditioned in Houston, Texas.

7. Joshua Ledet, 19, is a resident of Westlake, Louisiana. He auditioned in Houston, Texas.

'Slam Dunk' Live Video

This is a very cool video to all the lovers of Slam Dunk anime back in the 90s. Funny and awesome!

X-Factor USA 2011 Grand Finalists

The first season of X-Factor USA grand finals will air on December 22, Thursday here in the Philippines. After following the show since September, it will come to an end this week. The three grand finalists are as follows, with my favorite performances note:

Melanie Amaro
*Listen, World's Greatest

Chris Rene
*Love don't live here anymore, Superstar

Josh Krajcik
*Jar of Hearts, Hallelujah

None of my top 3 bets made it this far as mentioned in my previous post at the start of the show (Drew, Rachel, Astro) but these three finalists are deserving of the spot. Whoever will win amongst them are worth the 5 million contract and Pepsi commercial so good luck finalists!

X-Factor USA 2011 - 3rd Live Show

Goodbye Stereo Hoggz. I was hoping it's Marcus Canty ('cause I don't like him being too overconfident). I think this group just had a problem with their identity. Their first live show "Try a little Tenderness" is their best performance. The rest is unforgettable. But good luck to this group. Who knows there is still a gap in the market for this boyband thing.. For me this week, best performances came from Astro / Chris / Drew / Melanie. I just love Chris' version of Gangsta's Paradise! Nice!!!

Janet Devlin

Another X-factor contestant but this time from UK. Just discovered her while reading Drew's fix you video. She also sang 'fix you' in the show. The show is also still on-going in the UK I don't know if she's a strong contender but looking at her videos online, I find them good but not awesome. Sweet voice. I think her 'Your Song' audition is her best performance.

Gandang Gabi Vice - Nov 6 episode

This episode is the funniest! Esp. the "Vina Morales" part! Repeat!

November 9, 2011

Altiyan Childs

Since hearing his voice from our cool down song, "Somewhere in the World" in our Body Combat class, I already searched him in youtube. His performances in X-Factor Australia 2010 were truly wonderful and amazing! He is 35-years old and his first audition was awful - he forgot his words! But then the judges maybe saw his potential so he got in. Week by week, people are starting to like him until he was declared the champion. Thanks to youtube I backtracked all of his performances. My favorite is Lady in Red and Somewhere in the world. But his breakthrough performance is "Livin on a Prayer" - my golly! Check his videos below and just be amazed!

Altiyan Childs & Sally Chatfield - Sweet Disposition

This is a very good version of my favorite song. I learned that Altiyan Childs won this contest and he actually sang our cool down song in the body combat class, "Somewhere in the World."

Banayad Whisky

Who could ever forget this scene? This one really makes me laugh until now.

Super Funny Halloween Special on Ellen

One thing I love during holiday is I am able to watch Ellen's episode on TV instead of youtube.

Yesterday's episode is really funny.

She's dressed up like Sophia Grace and her "cousin" is also not talking just like the real cousin haha. Tony as Nicki Minaj haha.

Also in this episode are the funny photobooth shots of people with surprisingly the "scream" masked man.

You gotta check it out.

Pilipinas Got Talent 3 Finals

I have nothing against Maansinhon Trio. But declaring them as winner just solidified the whole season 3. I don't know.. maybe some re-formatting is needed (if there will be another season) after this.

I think Maansinhon Trio won because of the Cebuano's votes. They're good but I don't think that they're performance is worthy of the P2Million price because I've seen it many times in other singing reality shows. I'd rather choose the "Proudly Pinoy" performance of El Gamma Penumbra. My favorite is Khalil but his "Dream On" performance is a little pitchy. Still, I know this kid will be a celebrity already because of his star quality. The Bringas Brothers is the new Happy Feet. I won't be surprised if they will have their life story featured in MMK too.
So, goodbye PGT 3. Maybe next season, it's Pilipinas Got SINGING Talent already. haha. =)

X-Factor USA 2011: First Live Show

OMG! Drew! Drew! Drew!

Goosebumps all over.

Best performance of the night.. or ever on this show?

Another remarkable performaces are Melanie Amaro, Astro, StereoHoggz, and Lakoda Rayne.

The Top 12 were selected. I can't wait next week for another live performances.

Girls:
Drew
Melanie
Rachel

Boys:
Astro
Chris
Marcus

Over 30's:
Leroy
Josh
Stacy

Groups:
Intensity
Lakoda Rayne
The Stereo Hogzz

America surely will have a hard time on choosing the winner. They are all so good!

My gosh I really can't get over Drew's version of What a feeling! What a voice! =)

My X-Factor USA 2011 Favorites

#1 Rachel Crow

What can I say? This 13-year old kid is my most favorite contestant for being real and she really can sing. She joined X-Factor because her family "has like no money" - classic!

Audition 1 - "Mercy"

Bootcamp Audition - "If I were a boy"

Judge's House - "I want it that way"

#2 Drew Ryniewicz

She's a Justin Bieber fan but I agree with Nicole that her version of 'Baby' is better than the original. Drew Ryniewicz is 14 years old. She’s from Chino Valley, Arizona.

Audition 1 - "Baby"

Judge's House - "It must have been love"

#3 Brian "Astro" Bradley

He is the 15 years old rapper kid from Brownsville, Brooklyn. He said that in 5 years, he will be better than Jay-Z.

Audition 1 - "Stop Looking at my Momz"

Judge's House - "Can't hold me down"

#4 Brewer Boys

Brothers Nathan (14) and Justin (17) are actually Filipino. Woohoo!

Judge's House - "Only Girl in the World"

Since I started watching X-Factor, I really got hooked and now that the live show is next, I think will get better and more exciting.
